The Mat Told Half the Story. We Went Looking for the Other Half.
Caddie Craft started because indoor bay numbers alone kept explaining what happened on a launch monitor without ever explaining why a fitting fell apart once someone got to the course.
Built Around a Question the Bay Couldn't Answer
Caddie Craft opened in Gainesville in 2013 after years of watching indoor fittings hit a wall: two golfers with nearly identical numbers on a launch monitor would leave with the same spec, then report completely different results once they got on their home courses. The missing variable turned out to be the ground itself — specifically, how firm or soft the turf was where each golfer actually played.
We built our process around walking real turf first, logging what we find on a course card, then layering a standard launch monitor on top of that. Every fitting since has started outside, not at a spec sheet.
Three Rules the Shop Doesn't Bend On
Turf Before Talk
Every recommendation traces back to a walked course card, not a description of how a shaft or bounce "should" feel for your speed.
Every Brand, No Quota
We stock heads and shafts from every major manufacturer specifically so nothing steers a recommendation except your own card.
Published Pricing
You know the fitting fee before you book, and there's never pressure to order clubs once the session wraps up.
Meet the Crew Behind the Shop
Every fitter on staff trained specifically on turf-read fitting, not just launch monitor operation.
